Brunswick Diesels is a family-owned and -operated Western Australian Company, run by Greg and Sue Jones. The business is located at 16 Papps Road, Brunswick Junction. They employ 16 personnel, including qualified trades such as heavy duty diesel mechanics, auto electrical and air conditioner technicians, boiler makers and radiator technicians.
Brunswick Diesels started trading at 12 Sommers Road, Brunswick Junction in 1987 in the back yard shed. In between Greg working shift work and Sue at home manning the phone, they managed as a team to remove the old inferior engine from their vehicle, and replace it with a new and improved 6.2-litre Chevrolet engine. Over the last 26 years, the business has grown and now is based in Papps Road in a large and modern well-equipped workshop.
Brunswick Diesels imports the brand-new Chevrolet 6500 Optimizer as well as the P400 Cobra V8 Diesel engines direct from the United States and installs these engines into most popular makes of four-wheel drive vehicles, such as the Nissan Patrol and the Toyota Landcruiser. They also have fully remanufactured 6.5-litre Chevrolet diesel engines in stock as well as offering new and remanufactured engines in kit form, which can be shipped Australia-wide. In addition to this, they offer a vast range of replacement parts for the Chevrolet diesel engines.
Vehicles come from all over Australia to be converted with this powerhouse engine – customers opting to ship their vehicles across by truck or driving over and having a holiday using one of the complimentary loan cars while their vehicles are being converted.
The company also supplies a service for general repair and maintenance work on both four-wheel and two-wheel-drive vehicles. Brunswick Diesels also incorporates BD Custom Radiator Repairs, so for all radiator needs small or large call in and see Bradley (B2). On 17 October 2006, Brunswick Diesels became a licensed motor vehicle dealership to sell used vehicles converted with the Chevrolet 6.5-litre diesel engines.
At the beginning of this year, Brunswick Diesels announced that they have an authorised fitter of their engines on the east coast teaming up with one of their valued customers Grahan Linfoot from Gryphon Engineering.
Brunswick Diesels is a company that is customer-focused in every sense of the word. Both the team members and proprietors realise that customers are the pivotal element of any successful business, as without satisfied and happy customers who are pleased with the end result, there is no successful business. Due to the guidance of its proprietors, this company has gone, and will continue to go, from strength to strength. If you look for one single reason for Brunswick Diesels’ success, you won’t find it. What you will find is a multitude of factors, which have made it into the successful business it is today.
